For rope positioning and abseiling ONLY. Not designed for belaying.

The safeguard device with assisted braking is compact, light and durable. Our new device has been constructed using hot forged aircraft grade aluminum and stainless steel for increased durability. The safeguard can be used with single ropes ranging from 8.9mm to 11mm. 

This device is designed for descending, rope positioning, and abseiling use only. It has no return spring in the camming mechanism, meaning it will lock up under any weight or friction applied, and is released via the handle.
