Mail Order Agent Climbing Shoe Retreads

Mail Order Agents:
Steps:
1. Submit your order online, ensuring that all requested details are provided.
2. Either print out your tax invoice, or write down your invoice number (starting with N) on a piece of paper.
3. Take your shoes (with tax invoice or written note) to your chosen agent.
4. Agents repairs will be sent to our workshop on a weekly basis. Shoes will be returned back to the agent once complete, and customers will be notified once they're ready to collect.
* If you are unsure which repair your shoes need, simply purchase a Retread and we will contact you if your shoes require any additional work. As a rule of thumb, any splits, holes or noticable creases on or near the rand will require a Rand and Retread to repair the damage.
Repair Charges:
- Retread $55.00 - Old half sole removed, with a new sole pneumatically bonded.
- Rand and Retread $90.00 - Only done in conjunction with half sole replacement. Damaged rand is removed and replaced. May include minor stitching repairs in area associated with rand/sole repair.
- Big Rubber Retread $90.00 - Same process as a Rand and Retread, however the rand rubber replacement is 50% thicker than the original rubber. Ideal for gym use and hard wearing adventure climbing.
- Pro Grind $5.50 - Only done in conjunction with the above repair options. Sole rubber is ground thinner under the ball of the foot, to give greater flexibility and ability to grab holds with your toes. Don't confuse this modification with creating a down-turn in your shoes, as down-turn has nothing to do with rubber thickness. Only recommended for soft shoes.
- 1 Pair = $15 (per customer)
- 2 Pairs = $17 (per customer)
- 3 Pairs = $20 (per customer)
Please avoid sending your shoes with accessories (such as carabiners to tie them together, cotton bags, ect.), as we cannot guarantee their safe return.
Agent repairs are NOT able to be combined with gear purchases from us.
Sole Rubbers:
- Mad Rock Science Friction (SF). A versatile rubber with high friction and exceptional durability.
- Mad Rock Xtreme Friction (XF). Extremely soft and sticky. Only recommended for advance/expert climbers who understand the appropriate use of soft rubber. Please contact us to understand more.
- 5.10 Onyxx. Great all-rounder with precision edging and exceptional durability.
- 5.10 Stealth C4. Firmer compound which is great for edging.
- Vibram XS Grip (XSG). Softer compound with a good friction to hardness ratio.
- Vibram XS Edge (XSE). Stiffer than Grip and more suited to edging.
