Details
Zero Friends, according to Wildcountry, are the smallest cams in the world. The Direct Loading Axle design means that the axle and termination are one piece, allowing for use of a smaller cam-head. The Flexistem is sheathed in tight stainless steel springs which are strong, flexible and hardwearing. The Guided Trigger System uses three alloy guides that make sure the trigger wires run smoothly and in the correct plane, allowing confident triggering with minimal flex, essential for placement and removal. Zero Friends have Cam Stops which work to the same breaking strength as the cams themselves and Smooth Cams which ensure there is maximum contact area for the tiny amount of metal to grab as much as possible. The combination of flexible springs and guides ensures positive directional control. The head width of the Zero Friends Sizes 3-6 are narrower than their equivalent Friends so they fit in places where Friends won’t fit. The long stems allow placements in deep cracks and nearly out-of-reach pockets. The 10mm dyneema sling that Zero Friends come with is doubled over so immediately extendable without needing a quickdraw and is incredibly light. Zero Friends Sizes 3-6 are suitable for Trad and Aid climbing. Zero 3: Range 8.5-12.2mm (0.33-0.48”), Weight 44g (1.55Oz), Strength 6kN, Camstop strength 6kN.
